Quick Update

I was just so excited today after watching Jie Zheng thrash Ivanovic that I decided to post on the top half of the womens draw. Jie Zheng beat Ivanovic 6-1,6-4. To other people this may be a shock but I expected it and I knew it was a very likely outcome. She will play Szavay next, if Jie Zheng continues to play well I don't see why she can't make this win and get to the QF's. Szavay's best record here is the 2nd round and she hasn't been doing well this year either. But the game I'm really hoping for is Nicole Vaidisova Vs. Serena Williams (which would be in the Semis). I think Nicole has a shot against Anna Chakvetadze but I do think Chakvetadze looks to have the edge here. I really do hope Nicole can find something in her because if she was at her best I am sure this match would be an easy taking. The icing on top of the cake was that Bethanie Mattek beat Marion Bartoli. Though I knew Marion Bartoli wasn't going to get anywhere near the final with Serena as her 4th round opponent, but knowing that Bethanie Mattek beat Bartoli is better than anything. I really do think that Serena is going to get to the final along with Venus. It would be great to see them in the final! But what I am praying for is the good form of Nicole Vaidisova.
