It was sad to see Justine lose her title, being beaten by Schiavone!
I was also pain stricken when Vaidisova lost so easily to Ivanovic. I have to admit that Ivanovic deserves top 10 compared to Nicole but I thought that she was closer to her than this!
Sadly Kirilenko lost again which is heart breaking! But one thing that raised my mood was Bartoli losing her first match again! France definitely doesn't have much to boast on the women's field anymore after Mauresmo and Pierce have gone. Her current win loss is 5-6 (woah! Top 10 and has only played 11 matches! and hasn't won a tournament since Nov 2006 (let me just stress look at her dreadful Grand Slam results and Tier 1's. Wimbledon final was definitely a fluke! - Get her out of the top 10 girls) The bottom half wasn't interesting to me at all as Jankovic and Kuznetsova was in the semis! But well done Elena for winning as it shows you still have that something to make it back to the top 10 (she didn't face a really easy draw to be honest)
